Over the past few years, clients and friends have often asked me: “Do I miss telling stories and producing TV documentaries?” Sure, there’ve been days when I yearned to be on location with the crew. Or when I watch something on TV or Netflix and can’t help but analyse story structure and editing.
But there’s no time for nostalgia. I count myself lucky to be able to pursue my art in different forms. These days, I’m still telling stories – albeit through shoes. The stories of the collection, of how we source the materials, and most importantly, of the individual anecdotes that our clients share with us. When I hear from clients who regale me with their exploits
” I ran after my 4 year old in those shoes!”
“Walked up the steps of the opera in Monaco and heads were turning because of my heels”…
… I’m heartened to know that what we’ve crafted with our artisans in Florence have given such joy to so many. Many of you have thanked me. But the thing is: it’s me who should give thanks.
So in this spirit, I’ve resolved to share more stories on our website’s blog, in the hope that maybe, just maybe it brings you a little smile wherever you are.
